NIST-Traceable Instrument Calibration Services
In-house and on-site calibration for pressure, temperature and electrical instruments — performed on Beamex MC6 calibrators, documented in Beamex CMX, and delivered by a women-owned team headquartered in Antioch, Illinois and serving the Chicago area, northern Illinois and southeast Wisconsin.
Calibration that protects your process, your product and your audit trail
Instrument drift is quiet and expensive. A pressure transmitter reading a little high, an RTD that has wandered a few tenths, a switch that trips late — each one erodes quality, energy efficiency and safety margins long before anyone notices. CML Enterprises Inc. provides full-service calibration and certification for numerous pressure, temperature and electrical instruments so your readings stay trustworthy.
Every calibration is performed with high-accuracy, all-in-one Beamex MC6 calibration equipment, and all instrument calibration and certification is traceable to national and international measurement standards (NIST). For each instrument we perform an inspection, initial (as-found) tests, any needed repairs, and a full multi-point calibration — then we issue certificates with calibration reports in paper or electronic format.
What we calibrate
CML can perform inspections, initial tests, repairs and full multi-point calibrations across these measurement types:
Pressure
Analog, digital and duplex gauges; pressure and DP transmitters and transducers; pressure switches; diaphragm seal and Red Valve assemblies.
Pressure calibrationTemperature
Thermometers (including bimetal), RTDs, thermocouples, temperature transmitters, temperature switches and gauges.
Temperature calibrationElectrical & loop
Frequency, current, voltage, switch testing and RTD measurement — plus 4–20 mA loops and smart transmitters.
Transmitter & loop calibrationCommunication protocols
Smart-instrument calibration with HART, Profibus and Foundation Fieldbus communication capabilities.
HART & FieldbusInstruments in our calibration scope
CML has the capability to calibrate a broad range of process instruments, including:
- Pressure gauges
- Pressure transmitters
- Pressure switches
- Red Valve assemblies
- Thermometers
- RTDs & temperature transmitters
- Thermocouples
- Valves / positioners
- Pneumatic controllers
- Electronic transmitters
- Electronic controllers
- Recorders
- Laboratory weighing scales
- pH probes & systems
- Diaphragm seal assemblies
Don’t see your instrument? Call us — our technicians work with most manufacturers’ equipment, and we’ll tell you plainly whether it fits our scope.
In-house or on-site — your choice
In-house (ship-in or drop-off): send instruments to CML and we inspect, test, repair if needed, calibrate and certify them in our shop. Ideal for spares, gauges, switches and anything easily removed.
On-site field service: our experienced technicians come to your plant for on-demand or routinely scheduled calibration of installed transmitters, temperature loops, recorders, pH systems and scales — plus switch set-point testing, hydrostatic pipe testing, data logging and emergency service. See field service capabilities.
Records you can actually use
CML uses Beamex CMX calibration software to build a database of every customer instrument. It stores data and reports, plans and schedules upcoming calibrations, and lets us analyze calibration history to optimize intervals based on your needs. Year over year, that history shows which instruments are drifting toward repair or replacement. How CML manages calibration records.
How a calibration job works
- Send your listShare an instrument list (or just tell us what you have), plant location and whether you prefer in-house or on-site service.
- Confirm scopeWe confirm instruments, ranges, test points (3-point, 5-point or custom up & down) and scheduling, then quote.
- Inspect, test, calibrateAs-found tests, any needed repair or adjustment, then full multi-point calibration on Beamex MC6 equipment.
- Certify & recordNIST-traceable certificates and reports in paper or electronic format, with results stored in Beamex CMX for next time.
Why plants choose CML
- Calibration plus supply plus repair. The same team that calibrates your instruments can repair them, build diaphragm seal and capillary assemblies, and source replacements.
- Women-owned business since 1988. CML was incorporated as a 100% women-owned business — useful for supplier-diversity programs.
- Proven at demanding sites. Field calibration for Argonne National Laboratory, Nestlé Professional Beverages, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District and wastewater treatment plants across Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.
- Local to the IL–WI corridor. Headquartered in Antioch, Illinois, with locations in Bolingbrook, Illinois and Fennville, Michigan.
What customers say about CML calibration
“CML Enterprises performed calibration services of differential pressure transmitters for critical systems used for protection of both personnel and equipment. They did the work during tight time frame of the facility that operates 24/7 with impressive efficiency and knowledge. We are very satisfied with CML performance and plan to continue using their services.”
“Over all, I just want to say that Bob and Bobby are excellent people. They really know how to represent CML Enterprises. I highly recommend their calibration services, they are flexible and very reliable. They work hard and they will do anything they can, to get those instruments up and running. Great job I will look forward to work with you next year. Thank you.”
“I have dealt with CML Enterprises for many years, and they are my most trusted suppliers of pressure and temperature calibration and certification. We have never had a problem with their work. I have known the Lefley family for over 50 years.”
