Calibration Records & Beamex CMX Management

Every instrument we calibrate lives in a Beamex CMX database — with scheduling, history trends, interval analysis and certificates in paper or electronic format.

Your instruments, organized

As part of our calibration procedures, CML uses Beamex CMX calibration software to create a database that keeps track of all our customers’ instruments. The software manages and stores data and reports, and plans and schedules upcoming calibrations. Using calibration history, we analyze and optimize calibration intervals based on your needs. When calibrations are complete, we produce certificates with calibration reports in paper or electronic format.

What CMX does for your program

  • Plan calibration procedures and strategies
  • Manage all calibration assets
  • Maintain position, device and calibrator databases
  • Automate alerts for scheduled calibrations
  • Produce reports automatically
  • Store all calibration data in the database, with electronic signatures
  • Create calibration certificates, reports and labels — electronic or print
  • Analyze history trends to determine optimal calibration intervals
  • Keep all calibration records safely stored and easy to retrieve for audits

Supporting your compliance framework

Beamex CMX software is designed to help organizations improve compliance with quality and regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, FDA, GMP/GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11. CML uses CMX to give you organized, audit-ready records that support your quality system.

Year-over-year insight

Because each gauge, transmitter and temperature instrument is stored in CMX, we can track your calibrations year over year and give you a detailed analysis of how instruments are performing — including a heads-up when one is getting close to needing repair or replacement.

How often should instruments be calibrated?

There’s no single right interval. History trend analysis shows which instruments can be calibrated less often and which need more attention — reducing cost without adding risk. Beamex explains the approach in How often should instruments be calibrated? (PDF, 167 KB)

Start with your instrument list

The easiest way to begin is to send us what you have — a spreadsheet, a PDF export from your CMMS, even a photo of a clipboard list. Upload it with the calibration quote form and we’ll take it from there.
